Rigging & Heavy Lift for Demanding Operations

We support the transport, lifting, and positioning of heavy components. By combining rigging, rope access, and lifting and hydraulic systems, we tailor each solution to the technical conditions and specific requirements of the project.

Our Expertise

Heavy Lift & MCE: Operations in Restricted-Access Environments

We plan and execute rigging operations involving the transport, lifting, and positioning of structural elements and components.

Crane-Less Component Replacement

We use hoists, rope systems, and hydraulic solutions tailored to the loads involved, load geometry, and specific working conditions.

Logistics Optimisation: Where technical conditions and the scope of the operation allow, we can reduce or eliminate the need to mobilise mobile cranes or jack-up vessels.Operational Cost Optimisation: Reduced mobilisation requirements and shorter project preparation times where a crane-less solution is technically viable.Reduced Logistics Impact: Fewer transport operations and shorter equipment mobilisation times, depending on the solution selected.Site Independence: Operations in locations with limited ground bearing capacity or restricted working space.

Lifting Plans & Engineering: Technical Documentation

Every operation is planned based on technical data, calculations, and an assessment of site conditions. We prepare documentation tailored to the scope of work, equipment used, and specific project requirements.

We select appropriate lifting and support points and analyse the loads, forces, and stresses generated throughout the operation. We prepare detailed method statements covering work procedures, the sequence of operations, equipment used, and team responsibilities. All documentation is developed in line with project requirements and the safety standards applicable at the worksite. We identify hazards, assess risks, and define appropriate control measures before operations begin. The findings of the risk assessment are incorporated into the RAMS documentation and discussed during the pre-work team briefing.

Rigging & Heavy Lift Solutions

We provide specialised technical support for rigging and heavy lift operations. We combine the expertise of certified riggers with extensive capabilities in rope access, lifting systems, and load handling.

We select slings, spreader beams, attachment points, and other rigging equipment based on the load weight and geometry, lifting method, and working conditions. Each configuration is assessed individually. We install and prepare lifting systems in restricted working environments, in accordance with technical documentation, the lifting plan, and applicable safety requirements.Lifting Operations Supervision: Support for the Appointed Person and Crane Supervisor in the planning, coordination, and safe execution of lifting operations in accordance with the lifting plan and project requirements.

What Sets Us Apart

Why Choose RAO?

01

Solutions Tailored to Each Operation

We analyse the structure, loads, attachment points, and working conditions to determine a safe and practical lifting method. Where technically appropriate, we use rope, hoisting, and hydraulic systems instead of conventional solutions that require heavy equipment.

02

HSEQ & Safety

We plan and prepare operations in accordance with project requirements, RAMS documentation, and site-specific safety standards. We identify hazards, define appropriate control measures, and provide the team with clear procedures for carrying out the work safely.

03

Transparency & Accountability for the Scope of Work

We work with heavy lift, logistics, and engineering companies, supporting the delivery of demanding projects in Poland and international markets. We document the scope of work, operational assumptions, and final outcomes, while coordinating solutions with the project stakeholders responsible for delivery.

Wymiana głównych komponentów

RAO wsparło operację wymiany pięciu generatorów i jednej łopaty turbiny wiatrowej na obiekcie offshore, realizowaną dla DWT. Zapewniliśmy doświadczonych riggerów do zespołu pracującego w górnej części turbiny. Nasi specjaliści uczestniczyli w fizycznej wymianie komponentów, przygotowaniu i ustawieniu sprzętu, wsparciu operacji dźwigowych oraz organizacji załadunku i rozmieszczenia wyposażenia na statku.Zobacz case study
